Nikon D500 DSLR Camera

it seems like there’s a new camera released every other weekend the specs on some of Nikon D500 are insane.

So with all these options why I need to buy a four-year-old camera released 5 years ago.

  • Excellent image quality
  • Great ISO performance
  • Excellent dynamic range
  • fast autofocus performance
  • Excellent battery life
  • Very low shutter lag
  • AF point select joystick
  • Ability to focus in very low light
  • Face detection
  • Quick startup
  • mode switching
  • 10fps burst speed
  • 200 frame buffer
  • Automatic AF Fine-Tune
  • comfortable camera body
  • Large optical viewfinder
  • Dedicated Moving Shooting menu

  • sharpening a bit high
  • Touchscreen display needs improvements

Camera Specs

  • 10fps Shooting for Up to 200 Frames
  • Build in WI-FI
  • Bluetooth
  • Cleaning system
  • Manual focus
  • Live view screen
  • Shutter priority
  • Manual exposure mode
  • USB 3.0 Micro B 5GBit sec
  • HDMI
  • Microphone Port
  • Headphone Port

It’s still worth because it’s a crop sensor body that shares the same focusing system as the flagship d5 and has a 20.9 megapixel.

It’s a sweet sound of 10 frames per second and even in 2021, that’s impressive for a DSLR especially considering it will keep going like that for 200 raw shots without a hiccup from the buffer.

Then look for the camera that you think is the best fit if it’s not the latest and greatest so be it remember that.

Nikon D500 release date

the Nikon D500 is launched in 2016 alongside the Nikon D5 this camera was called the baby D5 when Nikon was released. Both cameras have similar bodies both have lighted buttons but the D500 is cheapest than D5 with its price.

Is it still worth buying well that depends on what you want for your money this is my Nikon d500 and yes it is a brand new quick rundown of the highlights.

  • NFC with 180k Pixel RGB Sensor and Group Area AF
  • 4K UHD Video Recording at 30fps and Multi-CAM 20K 153-Point AF System

Wrapping Up

Nikon D500 is still the top recommendation for sports and wildlife shooters in 2021 because it has a pro body with dual card slots weather sealing, an amazing autofocus system, and 10 frames per second. It’s still an incredibly powerful camera even five years after its release date.

So after reading, this article is the D500 the right camera for your needs. Maybe in the past years but in 2022 after so many cameras out there and your budget, I can not give you a proper answer but if you do a lot of sports it definitely should be considered.
